The spectacular waves in Xwejni bay in a NW6 were almost impossible to paint in watercolour, the paper kept trying to escape. After several attempts I got my sketch book out and made, made some notes and decided to finish the main painting back in the protection and warmth of my studio. A successful painting was the result, conveying the excitement and drama of the scene, viewed from a highpoint on the hill behind the bay.
